Without me

This morning, I woke up my son.
Here is an excerpt from our conversation.

I say, "Let's put your clothes on."
My son says "Where are we going?"
I say "We are going to daycare."
My son says "I don't want to go yet."
I say "Honey, the car is running. (It's cold here) Do you know where the car is going?"
My son says matter-of-factly "To daycare without me."

I just started to chuckle!
I love how kids are so true to their feelings.
